
He is survived by his wife, Gwen his five children: Sheila Barney, Clark R (Catherine) Barney, Kelly Dean (Monteria) Barney, Scott Johnson (Laurie) Barney, and Alison (Bill) Beacham as well as his seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, who were the delight of his life. He is preceded in death by his parents his siblings: Ila (Shirl) Hunter, Gale J (Luwana) Barney, Youd LeRoy (Isabel) Barney and a grandson, Kelly Dean Barney Jr. He and his family had chances to travel all over the United States and Canada, which made for good times together and great memories. Keith loved to garden, sketch, feed the birds and going fishing and hunting. His church callings, as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, were Cub Scout leader, Scout Master, Secretary for the Young Men, Ward Clerk, and High Priest Group Leader. They lived at the Power Plant for ten years, in Spanish Fork for nine years, and Salem for the past 45 years.Īfter his Army service and schooling, Keith went to work for Strawberry Water Users Power Plant, in June of 1957, and stayed there for 40 years. They are the parents of five children: Sheila, Clark, Kelly Dean, Scott, and Alison. They were married on May 14, 1957, in the Manti Temple.

He came home and went to trade school for a year. He served at Valley Forge Army Hospital for two years. They had a baby girl in 1953, and that baby passed away in 1953. He married Margaret Wheeler, in June 1952.

He then went to work at Utah State Hospital. He attended school in Lakeshore until eighth grade, then attended Spanish Fork Junior High and Spanish Fork High school, graduating in May 1951. The day he was born, it was 33 degrees-below-zero. Keith was born in Lakeshore, Utah, February 11, 1933, to Charles Leroy Barney and Alice Sorene Youd Barney. Keith Y Barney passed away January 25, 2021, at home in Salem, Utah, due to Pulmonary Fibrosis and Covid-19.
